We are all getting ready for a new school year, which will be totally different from what we are used to. Waiting for this term, I realised I’m more confident than March. I’m leaving here a very quick and handy ‘Getting to know you’ activity which I’m planning to use on the first day of my class.
Create a Google Slide and write I’m
The first slide is yours, add a picture and write about yourself in the form of an ‘I’m Poem’
Write your students’ names on each slide before the class.
Share the slide, introduce yourself and then tell them they will do the same on the slides that have their names.
Then play the slideshow.
Follow up: You can put them in break-out rooms and tell them to ask and anser questions about what they have added on the slides.
