    I second the one about making a hero or superhero. I do it through a poster and presentation afterwards about their “hero”.

    I also have used the nfb film George and Rosemary – have a nice ppt/video for it on EFL Classroom 2.0. But basically like your routine idea. Students make a storyboard and write about his day. You can also get students writing about their own day and making a storybook – they love drawing.

    Surveys are great and you can also practice adverbs of frequency. Students just write out their question on a card “Do you usually….. on ……s? and then record yes/no answers and report back to the class.
