17 Years of Blogging: My Blog Begins a New Chapter

Reflecting on 17 years of blogging: writing, learning, connecting, and creating…
My Blog Begins a New Chapter!
Here is the story why I’m writing this post today.
I’ve just finished moving my blog from Edublogs to WordPress, and it feels like the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.
I had been using my own domain name, but over time the setup started causing problems. My domain and the Edublogs address were clashing, the site was showing as “not secure”, and honestly, I found myself avoiding my own blog. I wasn’t as excited to update it anymore.
Then something interesting happened.
When I started exploring AI, designing projects with AI, and thinking about new possibilities for language classrooms, I started feeling excited just like I had when I started blogging 17 years ago.
17 years ago… that’s a long time. My blog is about to leave its teenage years behind.
And I realised I couldn’t just let it go.
I’ve spent long hours writing posts there (imagine doing all that before AI tools existed!). More importantly, my blog became a record of my journey. Through it, I met wonderful educators, attended conferences, moderated webinars, and delivered workshops. So many opportunities came from simply keeping this little journal with me throughout my professional journey.
This new version feels fresh and beautiful to me, and I hope you’ll enjoy visiting it too.
Here’s to new chapters and old stories that still have more to tell.
