TESOL Spain 2026: An Amazing Conference

My reflections on TESOL Spain 2026

I was in Seville from March 12th to 16th for an amazing ELT conference—the TESOL Spain 49th Annual National Convention.

From the moment I was informed that my proposal was accepted, I knew it would be a great event. Everybody working for this conference did their best to make it happen, in a way that made organising such an event look very easy. They were well-organised, friendly, helpful, and passionate about what they do. They were also very thoughtful and considerate, remembering people who were important to them.

I attended sessions I loved. I found inspiration and motivation. As usual, I met beautiful people there. They chose to spend their weekend on the university campus, listening to other teachers, instead of enjoying the beautiful spring in a lovely city, where blossoming orange flowers were falling on their heads while they were sipping their coffee, sitting in a café near the square.

People chose to be at the conference to learn, to forget what they had learned, and to relearn—to remember and to get inspiration from fellow teachers who share their passion and dedication.

Teachers make ELT conferences great! Teachers come to the conferences from different corners of the world to update their skills, to learn from each other, and to share what they already know with each other. And how much I love being among these teachers! I love being with them. I love being one of them.

And thank you, TESOL Spain, for organising such a beautiful event. As you said on your posters, on your social media, and on your website—what an art!
