Just discovered Edcanvas

I just discovered a new site, Edcanvas where you can easily create online lessons adding urls of a site or videos from Youtube, text and image with web search, upload your own documents from your desktop or from your dropbox account. It is easy and looks promising. I was adding my students’ poems on my class blog when I came across with it and tried it what I had in my hand. Here you can see how I used to see how it works. I think the students can also use the tool for their presentations.

I’d like to hear your suggestions too.

  2. Hi Eva!

I am one of the people behind Edcanvas! Excited that you found us and thanks for sharing!

Students can definitely use this tool right now for their presentations. I would love to see what you students create. We are currently working on richer functionality for teachers to invite their students to Edcanvas and have them organized by classes.

I would love to hear from you on any thoughts you may have around students creating canvases!

    Cheers,
    Amy Lin

  4. Hello Mrs. Buyuksimkesyan. My name is Jo Curd. I am a student at the University of South Alabama. I am in a class called EDM 310, which requires me to comment on a teacher’s blog and then write a summary about the blog post on my own blog. http://curdjoedm310.blogspot.com/, http://edm310.blogspot.com/
I really enjoyed reading your post on Edcanvas and I looked at how you used it for your class. It seems like a great tool to use and something students can use as well. This is something that I will be looking into more.
